Coffee as we know it in world culture is well over 1,000 years old, and in western culture, about 400 years old, with a lot of the development towards modern day coffee happening in the 1800s. Even so, just in the past 20 years, we’ve seen technological leaps and bounds in the world of coffee that have pushed the quality in the cup to stratospheric levels.
